The weather outside is frightful! Come inside the Alberta Rose Theatre and warm yourself at the circus fire. The noble Bohemian clans of Wanderlust Circus and The Nowhere Band join forces once again for that most beloved of Portland traditions - THE WHITE ALBUM CHRISTMAS!In loving tribute to the Fab Four, the entirety of their self-titled album "The Beatles"; known as "The White Album" for its distinctive monochrome cover; is played by a live all-star band. Fifteen or more musicians are required to replicate their multi-instrumental studio mastery - a small horn section, a string quartet, a legion of vocalists, a fully-loaded keyboard, and a proud array of guitarists and drummers have meticulously studied the original recordings to reproduce their every note as faithfully as possible. Members of March Fourth, Vagabond Opera, Solovox, Trashcan Joe, The Stolen Sweets, The Saloon Ensemble, Stereovision, and all your favorite local ensembles come together only once a year to make this possible. It's a Bohemian Family Reunion, and you're invited!Meanwhile, at Stage Right, we present the very finest circus performers in town: Kazum, AWOL Dance, Leapin Louie, NagaSita, Russell Bruner, Blake Hicks, and newly-arrived evacuees Greg Everton and Luther Bangert. Ours is a fairy tale of life and love on the Endless Road, in which The Wild Woman is tempted toward the civilizing influence of Big Time Showbiz. Will our diamond in the rough ditch her piebald cousins in favor of the Bright Lights of Broadway, or will family win out over the two-fisted assault of fortune and fame? Find out December 8th, 9th, and 10th at THE WHITE ALBUM CHRISTMAS!
